By visiting our Site, opening an account, or placing an order, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Data Retention Policy, and our Research Use Only Policy. If you do not accept these Terms, do not access the Site or purchase any items.

2. Research Use Only (RUO) Certification
Strict Scientific Purpose: All items catalogued, distributed, and sold under the King & Queen Lab brand—including lyophilised peptides, stable solutions, coenzymes, and biochemical reference reagents—are supplied exclusively for in vitro laboratory experimentation, analytical assays, scientific calibration, and academic research.
Prohibition of In Vivo / Human / Animal Use: No product is intended, packaged, or approved for human consumption, clinical diagnostic procedures, therapeutic administration, cosmetics, food additives, or veterinary applications.
Zero Medical Guidance: We do not provide instructions, protocols, or dosage advice. Any inquiry referencing human administration, personal application, or veterinary treatment will be declined immediately in writing, resulting in the cancellation of pending orders and permanent account suspension.
Verification of Purity & Documentation: Reference analytical documentation (including batch HPLC and mass spectrometry characterizations confirming purity benchmarks of ≥ 99%) are intended solely for chemical verification and analytical control.
3. Customer Responsibilities & Laboratory Handling
By purchasing products from KQ LAB LTD, you certify that:
You and your staff possess the requisite expertise, safety equipment (including certified personal protective equipment), and facilities necessary to handle, store, and dispose of biochemical materials in compliance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
Products will be stored in designated temperature-controlled environments (e.g., lyophilised vials at -20°C; solutions at 2°C – 8°C).
You will not re-distribute, re-package, or sell any supplied chemical material to unauthorized third parties or consumer markets.
4. International Orders & Customs Compliance
Importer of Record: For orders delivered outside the United Kingdom, you act as the sole Importer of Record. It is your strict obligation to determine whether the ordered materials can be imported lawfully into your destination country.
Customs, Tariffs, & Import Duties: You are solely responsible for local declarations, customs duties, import tariffs, and compliance clearance in your jurisdiction.
Customs Delays or Seizures: KQ LAB LTD makes no warranties regarding the legal importation status of chemical reagents outside the UK. In the event a shipment is refused, seized, quarantined, destroyed, or returned by customs authorities due to domestic import restrictions or non-compliance, KQ LAB LTD cannot issue refunds or replacement dispatches.
5. Orders, Pricing, and Card Payments
Contract Formation: Display of products on our Site constitutes an invitation to treat. Your order is an offer to purchase, which is accepted only upon order dispatch and electronic confirmation by KQ LAB LTD. We reserve the right to cancel or limit orders at our discretion for safety, fraud prevention, or regulatory reasons.
Pricing & Currency: All prices are displayed and billed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Prices are subject to change without prior notice, but finalized orders will reflect the price accepted at checkout.
Pricing Inaccuracies: In the event of a genuine typographical or database pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel the order and provide a full refund.
Card & Bank Payment Processing: All payment transactions are processed through licensed, PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateways utilizing 256-bit TLS/SSL encryption. We do not store, view, or process raw credit/debit card numbers (PANs) or banking credentials on our web servers.
6. Delivery & Transfer of Risk
Dispatch & Courier Handling: Delivery will be made to the address specified in your order. KQ LAB LTD dispatches all parcels through tracked delivery partners.
Transfer of Risk: For all orders dispatched using delivery services arranged by KQ LAB LTD, risk of loss, theft, or damage remains with KQ LAB LTD until the parcel is physically delivered to and received by you, a member of your household, or an identified third party nominated by you to take possession of the goods.
Customer-Arranged Transport: If you commission or instruct your own independent carrier to collect goods on your behalf (where such carrier was not offered or facilitated by KQ LAB LTD), risk of loss or damage passes to you once the goods are transferred to that carrier.
Inspection Upon Arrival: You must inspect all consignments upon receipt and report any visible packaging damage or transit discrepancies to support@kqlab.co.uk within 48 hours of physical delivery.
7. Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations
Due to the sensitive chemical and thermal nature of scientific research materials, standard consumer change-of-mind return rights do not apply to temperature-sensitive compounds under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013:
Lyophilised Peptides & Liquid Reagents: Once dispatched, research compounds cannot be returned, restocked, or exchanged. We cannot verify third-party storage or environmental integrity once an item leaves our custody.
Damaged or Incorrect Items: If an item arrives broken, defective, or incorrect, you must report it within 48 hours of delivery to support@kqlab.co.uk with your order number and photographic evidence. Confirmed defective or erroneous shipments will be replaced or refunded promptly.
Hardware & Non-Perishable Accessories: Unopened, unused laboratory accessories may be returned within 14 days of receipt at the purchaser’s expense, subject to inspection.
Pre-Dispatch Cancellations: Orders can be cancelled for a full refund at any time prior to physical fulfillment and dispatch.
8. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our direct negligence, fraud, or any statutory liability that cannot be excluded under the law of England and Wales.
Subject to the above, KQ LAB LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential losses, loss of research data, loss of business revenue, or penalties arising from improper storage, unauthorized handling, or misuse of supplied materials.
Our maximum total liability for any claim arising out of an order is strictly limited to the purchase price paid for the specific goods in dispute.
9. Intellectual Property
All proprietary content on this Site—including graphics, branding, text descriptions, layout frameworks, and downloadable analytical specifications—is the intellectual property of KQ LAB LTD and protected under UK and international copyright law. Content may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed for commercial purposes without prior written authorization.
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Both parties irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim.
